Here’s how ImInLikeWithYou works:

# 1. iminlikewithyou is a flirting game, on the web and on your phone.
# 2. Each person starts with points.
# 3. At first, you can’t contact anyone directly. In order to contact someone you must win one of their games, or they must win yours.
# 4. A game is a short competition where the competitors submit their profiles and bid a certain number of points to get the game host’s attention.
# 5. When your game’s time is up, you can choose one of the top 5 bidders as the winner, and the winner’s points are deducted.
iminlikewithyou is totally free.
# 6. After the game, the host and the winner can communicate freely through email, sms, and even call each other without revealing their email addresses or phone numbers.

I played with ImInLikeWithYou for a couple of hours (thanks to Om for the invite) and here’s a few things that I think about it:

  1. The name sucks, and will have to be changed. They also have iilwy.com, which makes it a bit easier, but still, it’s too long and there will be too many mistakes in spelling and recognition.
  2. The idea might have potential, but it’s for more of a sophisticated crowd. The attention span of teens/college students is not that long. I don’t know if they are willing to play the game for an extended period of time. This might be shortned once there’s more people in they system, but currently it’s around 24 hours for bidding, which brings me to the next point:
  3. Increase the number of users. It feels like a desert out there. I’m sure they will push it as it comes out of beta to get more users.
  4. Site design is thoughtout. They are using lot of AJAX and Flash, but so far I like how it feels to use it.
  5. One difference between ImInLikeWithYou and other sites, like facebook, is that here your flirting is more public. You’re not just poking somebody in private, but your bids are open for everyone to see. An idea might be to add a comments section, so that people can leave comments while they are bidding or watching to make it more fun.

I have FIVE (5) invites, leave a comment or contact me directly if you’re interested in checking this out.

Update: I’ve gotten more and gave those away, waiting for even more to come in, as soon as they (hopefully) come in, I’ll send the ImInLikeWithYou invites out.
