I have a blackberry Pearl and I love that phone. I have been a subscriber to the T-Mobile HotSpots service, which is only $19.99 per moth if you’re a T-Mobile customer. But I came across this tutorial of using the Blackberry as a modem. After 7 minutes of set up, I was up and running.

I tested the speed at to different servers around the USofA and on average the speed was 175Kps, which is several times the speed of a regular modem. If you have Blackberry, see if it works for you. Although, if you don’t have T-Mobile unlimited data plan, watch out home much bandwidth you are using.
